Dan is a Regional Managing Director for an international financial services company and an Adjunct Professor for the finance department of the Beacom School of Business at the University of South Dakota.
He's been deeply engaged in the fly fishing community for many years, working with a number of the major brands, authoring the book "The Orvis Beginners Guide to Carp Flies", being featured on podcasts ranging from "The Orvis Flyfishing Podcast” to “The BHA Podcast and Blast”, and numerous others. He has also authored articles for "The Drake", "Angling Trade", "Gink and Gasoline", and multiple other outlets. He's fly fished from Costa Rica and Cuba to remote Ontario and Alaska.
When he isn't fishing, Dan can be found with his bird dog, Leo, chasing upland birds in South Dakota or enjoying a coffee, or an occasional duet, with his daughter Ella.
